Course organization

Practical part

The course will take place in Kraków and partly online. Instead of collecting data empirically, you will carry-out systematic review of the literature of your interest. Systematic review is the first step of meta-analysis, but does not have to end-up with statistical analyses of the effects sizes. Instead, you would stop at the point of coding the selected aspects of the full-texts

We will work on modified Biology Letters format.

Grant-writing part

Active training based on the own ideas of doctoral students in the field of evolutionary biology, ecology and environmental biology. The course is devoted to preparing research projects:

·        Formulating research hypotheses;

·        Planning of experiments;

·        Designing and justifying the budget;

·        Writing a review of the project;
